Description: This collectible commemorates arguably the greatest team in the history of one of the nation's preeminent collegiate basketball programs. All five members of the starting lineup of the 1960 Ohio State NCAA National Championship squad have signed this pristine commemorative basketball. John Halicek, Jerry Lucas, Mel Nowell, Joe Roberts, and Larry Siegfried have signed in bold, black Sharpie on the top white panel, with the scarlet and grey Ohio State logos flanking. A middle panel has "Ohio State Buckeyes" in scarlet and grey; the bottom white panel provides details about the historic season, including "1960 National Champions, 1959-60 Ohio State Buckeyes, Season Record, 25 Wins, 3 Losses." All elements appear to be in essentially near- mint and as-issued condition. The ball rests on a two-tiered acrylic base that is 2 1/2 inches high and features a nameplate with "Ohio State Buckeyes 1960 National Champions." A 10 1/2-inch square clear acrylic cube protects the basketball and appears to be in the same very good condition as other elements. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Talis Sport & Event Marketing. Limited edition AP5 Small spot of the acrylic case, beginning to craze. Item will be well packed and shipped with insurance and signature confirmation.
