Proto 2000 HO ERIE FB1 Powered B Unit Locomotive

Description: This locomotive is in new condition cosmetically. The wheels, chassis and shell show no signs of use. As with any open box item I tested this locomotive. In forward it operated smoothly, quietly and responsively. In reverse there was a vibration for a few seconds as it moved and quickly smoothed out to run as smoothly in reverse as it does in forward. I'm not sure what causes the vibration. If you are in reverse, when the slight vibration stops and you stop the engine and start it up again in reverse the vibration is absent. It's only when you have run it forward followed by a run backwards that this momentary vibration will surface, again disappearing after a moment or two. I'm not sure what is causing this. So, although this does not appear to be a significant issue, one that should be able to be pinpointed and corrected, I have discounted the price well off market value. Couplers are in the accessory bag in the box as is the documentation for this locomotive. Not withstanding the above I do not warrant HO equipment. All items are sold as-is. If an item is represented to be in excellent or outstanding condition, it is because the item was tested and performed and presented at the level represented at the time of listing. Of course, if there is a misrepresentation on any item I will accept returns for 3 days following receipt of your item. As always, please check all pictures carefully so that, cosmetically, you'll know what you're getting. I package trains very carefully using bubble wrap, or popcorn and/or buffering/newspaper to prevent the item from free floating in the box.
