Description: Located in historic Monterey Square and built for David Rembert Thomas in 1869, the Thomas-Levy House comprises the second half of a Second Empire baroque townhouse. It is part of the Savannah Historic District. The house was the original location of D. & V. Duncan Antique Maps, Prints, & Books and this postcard is an advertisement for the business. Founded in 1983 by retired history professor John Duncan and his wife, Virginia, it offers a vast collection of antique maps, old engravings, mezzotints, lithographs, photographs old books, and new Savannah volumes. The business is now located on historic Madison Square in downtown Savannah in the basement of a brick home built in 1875. The postcard is oversized.measuring 4.1/4" x 5 7/8". It was copyrighted in 1992 and published by Thomas P. Grimball Group, Mt. Pleasant, SC. The postcard is unposted. Light toning on message side; otherwise, very good.
