Description: ***********Although the movement keeps accurate time over an approximate 30 hour power reserve period and the date wheel rolls over as it should a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended given the movement's unknown service history.***********This seldom seen vintage 1960's Wonder Watch has a glossy black "T-SWISS-T" signed dial that is in near pristine condition. Majority of the imperfections seen are on the crystal, not the dial. The original lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and no longer glows after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a warm goldren buttermilk hue. In my humble opinion the dial and patina couldn't be more pleasing. The stainless steel bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely with the lumed dot complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "WATERPROOF INCABLOC ANTIMAGNETIC STAINLESS STEEL SWISS MADE AUTOMATIC" with "TESTED" followed by "450 FEET,""150 METERS,""WONDER WATCH" and "698601" stamped in the center. The crystal shows light scratching/swirling. The 25 jewels Swiss "WONDER WATCH" stamped 4007N automatic movement with semi-quickset date function keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the sharply threaded non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 30 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. Given the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is likely long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. This watch comes on a fully pliable, period correct 19 mm one keeper straight lug ends band with signature "ACIER" stamped flared buckle. The long end measures approximately 121 mm with the short end measuring approximately 84 mm, excluding the buckle. Given the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.
