VINTAGE Abercrombie Hollister Hook Bone & Shell Leather Necklace Y2K (2007)

Description: This is an OLD STOCK vintage Hollister by Abercrombie & Fitch leather necklace ... my best guess is that it was sold around 2007. It is still in very good condition ... having been worn a few times. Very rarely do these vintage pieces from A&F's heyday come up on EBay in this condition! Especially given that this is almost 20 years old! The backstory ... I am a former Abercrombie promotional model. Twenty years ago, the brand paid me to appear at store openings, black Friday sales and to take pictures in front of the NYC flagship store with customers. I am in the process of moving and discovered 2 sealed bins of vintage A&F clothing and accessories from the time I worked for them. Many of the clothing is brand new ... some others were worn for appearances. This was worn a few times for Hollister store openings, as A&F introduced the brand. There is some light wear on the leather chord, although you would probably never be able to tell because these were designed to look vintage and old. This necklace features a hook-shaped piece of bone, or artificial bone, a lead-look weight with a bird engraved on it and a tropical shell. All of these items are connected to the chord with help-style string. It looks very tropical. The chord is made of leather and has two knots ... at one time they may have slid apart to make the necklace fit tighter ... but they do not seem to slide now. Not sure if they were never designed to slide/adjust ... or, if over the years the knots just tightened. As I recall, the jewelry at this time sold out fast ... and collectors would often resell the more popular styles. This was the necklace everyone wanted. This is one size fits most. It was sold in the men's department but could be worn by women as well. It does not come with its original box. Please ask any questions before bidding as I cannot offer returns.
